I did promiss you all that i would be posting the vids to the new features of flash player 10 beta. They consist of Jutin Everett-Church the Sr product manager for flash player taking you through the following:

• 3d effects
• custom filter and effect
• advanced text layout
• enhanced drawing api
• visual performance improvments

Its every ones fave video instructor telling us how to download and install flash player 10. Then change the xml file of the daily build flex 3 SDK that you also have to download. Then setting up using either textmate for the mac or wordpad for the pc to start writing as3 code with a new FP10 only (Vector array types) feature of as3. Then onto publishing the file using command prompt to getting the swf file ready to work by draggin and dropping into the browser. FP10 right now will only work in the browser as its still in BETA and not yet stand alone.

From what i have read the the FP 10 will still be used with AS3 as its probably going to be release well before the EcmaScript 4 standard is unveiled so we should expect AS4 in there soon to id say about mid next year.

FP 10 has some fantastic new very much requested features such as 3d support and off loading more of its performance onto the GPU (Graphics Card) on our systems. This will provide a fantastic performance boost over earlier versions.

weither its going to be a Shockwave killer is yet to be seen by what the community creates when they get their hands on the software that the masters at adobe give us. But from what ive seen the slumpness that was present in flash player 9 is no more.
